Appledore-Holmquist Girls School

Karline Holmquist’s progressive Holmquist School for Girls at Phillips’ Mill, north of New Hope (anthropologist Margaret Mead was a graduate). It merged into Solebury School in 1949; the Inn at Phillips’ Mill occupies the old school buildings.
